There was a time when God was truly welcomed and embraced in England and America. But now both countries have rejected His hand in favor of big government policies. What's the end result? A people that have become everything that the Apostle warned about almost 2,000 years ago (2 Timothy 3:2-4, 8).
What will it take to start correcting these problems? A wholesale return to God. And when I say wholesale, I mean that God needs to be welcomed back into every aspect of our lives, both public and private. That may not sit well with some people but that's too bad. Here in America we've tried this failed experiment for 50+ years and have nothign good to speak of. Can anyone think that America is better today than it was 50 years ago?
The writer of the proverbs has the solution listed in Proverbs 2:1-9. The question is whether or not the Church is willing to stand up and proclaim this Truth along with a need to look to Jesus Christ for help, or will the Church continue to sit back and try to make nice with the world (James 4:4)?
