Have We Had Enough Yet?
7/10/2016

A couple of narcissistic liars running for President. A current President who has spent his time in office lying and stirring up hatred and strife. A corrupt Justice department giving a pass to one of the above mentioned liars because she's above the law. Politicized police shootings. Islamic terrorism. And now a man shoots a bunch of police officers, killing five of them, because he hated white people. And the government's proposed solution? Some "tough discussions" and more "gun control" laws. Had enough yet?

It has become a cliché that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Cliché or not, when it comes to the government and their proposed "solutions", I think they've proven their insanity.

Rather than throwing more money and laws at the problems, as if outlaws will obey any laws at all, how about trying something radical? No, I'm not talking about a long line of politicians standing up to pontificate about all the ills facing America. I'm also not talking about "locking up criminals and throwing away the key." I'm not even talking about government enforcing the already existing laws, though it would be nice if that happened.

No, I'm talking about the government acknowledging that their 50+ year experiment on one particular issue has failed.

This one failed experiment has led to all the problems we're facing as a nation. And I mean every last one. From welfare cheats, to illegal aliens, to lying politicians, to activist judges and everything in between. All these problems are merely symptoms of the real problem this country is facing.

We're not going to solve these problems by spending more money, passing new laws, or crying the blues about this group or that group is the problem. The real problem is this nation has rejected the source of her past goodness (flawed as it may have been).

I'm talking about the "Supreme Court" deciding in the early 1960's that God would no longer be allowed to be part of American life.

He was kicked out of classrooms, though He had been welcome previously since the first days of the republic.

He was kicked out of America because we decided we had become "enlightened."

But look at the consequences that followed almost immediately after this decision and have continued until today.

The sitting President, John F. Kennedy, was assassinated shortly after these arrogant decisions.

Race riots that tore the country apart.

More corruption in government. Massive welfare spending to fight a "war on poverty" that has only led to the destruction of the family unit and hasn't solved anything. In fact, it has led to massive welfare fraud. We've taught people how to lie, cheat and steal from "the system."

A seemingly endless series of corrupt politicians who were punished or chastised at first (Richard Nixon) but who now get a pass to continue their dishonest behavior (the Clintons).

Infanticide -- abortion -- as a "God given right." And taxpayers are forced at gunpoint to finance it.

Racial strife.

Islamic terrorism.

Man-made global warming scam.

Celebration of sodomy and the punishing and public shaming of anyone who disagrees.

President's who pay lip service to the Constitution while using their "pen and phone" to violate it.

And that's just a taste of the chaos this nation is facing. There are so many more problems as well. Like government schools indoctrinating children to believe the lie of evolution (you know, how man evolved from a rock) and to reject belief in God.

Military chaplains being punished for openly talking about their faith in Christ.

CEO's being forced to resign for believing that marriage is between one man and one woman.

Women being forced to share toilet facilities and locker rooms with sexual deviates.

And the list goes on and on and on.

The problem is quite simple: America was formed as a republic, a nation of laws. A nation where everyone was held to the same standard. And that standard was set by Almighty God, Himself. That's not my opinion, it's a well-known fact. At least it used to be.

But when we threw out the Source of our well-being, we threw out everything He provided for us. In a nutshell, reject the Lawgiver and we become a lawless people.

That won't work for long as we're now discovering.

Here are just a few verses that used to be accepted and understood by every America, from the President on down to John Q. Public.

Proverbs 28:15
[As] a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; [so is] a wicked ruler over the poor people.

Proverbs 29:2
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Psalms 127:1
A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh [but] in vain.

Listen to what Isaiah had to say when warning the nation of Israel for doing the same thing America has done:

Isaiah 5:20-24
20) Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21) Woe unto [them that are] wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22) Woe unto [them that are] mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23) Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24) Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, [so] their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Maybe it's time to have that "tough discussion" that politicians keep mentioning. Only this one should deal with the real problem and not the various symptoms.

It's time for "one nation, under God" to stop rejecting Him and turn to Him in humility and repentance. To acknowledge that we were wrong in trying to do things our own way (Proverbs 14:12).

It's time to submit ourselves back to His leadership and His wisdom. Not to become a theocracy. Not to force people to believe something they want no part of (we already try to do that through indoctrination and it's failing miserably).

It's time to acknowledge that our laws are based on God's Word and that ALL people are to be held to the same standard. It's time to acknowledge that science -- "so called" (1 Timothy 6:20) -- doesn't have any real answers to real problems.

It's time to acknowledge that God's Ways are not only higher than our ways, but better (Isaiah 55:8-9).

It's time to return to being a nation of laws; one nation, UNDER God.

Until we do, expect the chaos to continue.
